I just received mine in the Petit. I LOVE the look but have 2 major complaints—that the strap attaches to the handles (like the Alma BB), which makes it hard to access the zipper when it’s worn crossbody. Second complaint is that it . I would go with the Petit Palais. The zipper across the top is better for every day use. Whereas the clasp on the Madeleine would get worn quicker.
I was planning to buy the grey and white small petite palais but didn’t realize how small it was. I’m looking for a medium sized everyday type bag but don’t want to bring something out to dinner and get it scratched because it’s so big. My question is, . I also have the bicolor empreinte Petit Palais and love it so much. The size is perfect and I wear her crossbody most of the time. It fits everything I need and I appreciate that it’s with the top zipper which allows easy and wide opening of the bag.
